XP Pro SP3 on three computers.
After installing the DIR-601 all Internet traffic is fine... but my sharing of resources between
my three computers is not working.
From any computer I cannot even open the Shared Folders on another computer, the shared
printer "does not exist" and on and on.
I suspect that the 601 Internal Firewall is the culprit but there is no setting to turn
it off.
I put my old slow router (eGenious) back in and all worked fine.
So what am I missing with the new generation router?

any firewall installed? in this case you should try to enable something called file&printing share...

tried firewalls turned off both ends.... days ago.
yes, file and print sharing is turned on ...... both ends.

you have activate mac filtering option from dir-600?
LLE: i experienced a same problem between 1pc and 1 laptop ant the problem was firewall (it was necessary to activate/allow file an printer share)...for example my firewall has an option for blocking all traffic if not started...how do you deactivate the firewall? try instead to activate this option within firewall settings

Strange solution, seem DIR-601 needs more Stack Space... ran the value up to 21 decimal

strange...i made update for FW few weeks ago (forgot to mention...DIR-600/FW 2.05/HW B2)...today i realized i cannot access my network
solution: (i use also MAC filtering) turned off rule...reselect MAC for for PCs ...turned on rule for MAC filtering
restart
after that everything works just fine
