Erm, well, I flashed the new firmware using Google Chrome. When I cliched "upload" rather than seeing it upload, I got a dialog asking me to check an option to prevent any further dialogs from opening. Not knowing quite what to do, I ignored that and continued. Then I got a new tab with a Dlink logo and some other stuff that didn't seem related to firmware update. I waited quite a while and nothing happened, so I returned to the previous page and this time checked off the option to suppress further dialogs. When I continued, this time I saw the firmware update being uploaded and everything went as I had expected it would. Except, once the firmware update process was done, the router never restarted. When I looked at it, the power LED was completely off. So I unplugged and replugged it. The LED came on as a yellow light and stayed that way. No blue lights at all. Not even after waiting 10 minutes.
Is this thing bricked?
Where did I go wrong? How was this supposed to have wowrked? Did anyone ever test the firmware update process with Google Chrome?
