Title: Firmware update impossible from 3.11 to 3.12 or 3.14

Hi,

My hardware is version A1 , my firmware is 3.11_WW.

If i try to upgrade in DSR-1000AC_Ax_FW3.12B101H_WW putting firware on usb drive, i'have a message "operation not supported"

if i try to update by PC with same FW or also last one  DSR-1000AC_Ax_FW3.14_WW , i have a message Firmware is NOT available to be installed in NON-Supported Hardware machine, please use correct firmware version for your devices.


Seams i try to use the good one .... No ???

Does the release notes for the FW updates give any information about how to update or what needs to be done to effect the update?

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.

We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

Hi,

You must make sure you get the correct matching hardware model firmware. Then upgrade using a web access, one version at a time, from 3.11 -> 3.12 -> 3.13 -> 3.14 -> 3.17 -> 3.17 Hotfix.

I have successfully upgraded DSR 1000AC & 500N using firmware downloaded from:
http://support.dlink.com.au/

Hopefully they have updated there unit by now since this was posted back in 2019.  ;)

unfortunatly, years after years i didn't succeed, and now i have troubles with TLS version, need to upgrade certificate.

The answer was here :

DSR1000AC firmware support universal firmware for the different hardware version from v3.12.
There are two firmware upgrade steps for firmware version v3.12.
Please upgrade firmware from v3.12B101.
If your device’s firmware is earlier than 3.12, please upgrade corresponding firmware based your device hardware version.
Please follow the upgrade procedure in case fault caused during firmware upgrade.
1. Please check HW version on device UI first.
 2. Select the corresponding intermediate and common firmware version for upgrade
 process.
Intermediate firmware
DSR-1000_B1_FW3.11B001E_WW/RU
DSR-1000AC_A1_FW3.11B001E_WW/RU
Common firmware
DSR-1000_Bx_FW3.12B101H_WW/RU
DSR-1000AC_Ax_FW3.12B101H_WW/RU


i upgraded from my 3.11 with DSR-1000AC_A1_FW3.11B001E_WW
