Logically thinking here, if the older router works for uploading FTP files and the newer routers does not, it points to the newer router. You have a proven that the camera works with the older router so the cameras uploading function works there. I'll see what I can do in regards to replicating this.
What FTP server application do you use? I'll try and get this set up and test it out on my DIR-890L, if I can get some time. I have other routers to tests as well.

Netgear has build in ftp server. Connect usb stick to the router and done. Read the specs of a wndr3700 and r7000.

And I can say the following: if I can create folders and files with a filezilla ftp client on the usb stick in the router, the ip cam has bugs. Your word against my word.

Thanks in advance.

Still not able to create folders on my Netger R7000 USB stick running as FTP server. FileZilla client is able to do this. But they did change the FTP test button in version 1.07. Now it's only making a JPG file. Not an empty current date folder. The test was failing with previous firmwares because of failing to create a current date folder. Now the FTP test is successful because it only creates a test JPG file. It's not checking a current date folder anymore.

Please communicate this with D-Link. I have a call number: -> D-Link Case Number 1285825

Sorry, they did not change the FTP test button. The "Create subfolder" at images to FTP server was switched off in my config. In that case the FTP test button is successful.

What region are you located?
What D-Link  support number did you contact and get this Case Number from?

This forum is officially part of D-Link USA support which is separately maintained and operated from other D-Link regional support offices. Unfortunately, that means that D-Link USA support is unable to access or work cases opened in other regions. The recommendation that came back was that you follow-up with the regional D-Link support where you opened the case.

And now?? I don't have hope anymore. I think I must buy another brand Cam. This problem is so difficult. Netgear is blaming d-link and d-link is blaming Netgear. I want the source code of the Cam software. I am sure I can fix it myself. I'm a software engineer myself. Such a simple bug. I know the Cam software is wrong. Any other ftp client is able to make folders.

Unfortunately, D-Link firmware is not open source for external distribution.

Problem:

CAM 933L is not able to create folders via FTP on my FTP server in my Netgear R7000 / AC1900. 933L can create files but no folders.

I have a call at D-Link USA (C6626838) -> they can't do anything because I bought the 933L in Europe !!!!!
I have a call at D-Link Europe (1285825) -> they can't do anything, they blame Netgear !!!!
I have a call at Netgear -> they can't do anything, they blame D-Link !!!! Just because every other FTP clients is working great, they are right!!!

I'm hopeless!!  >:(

For me it's clear. It's a bug in the 933L. The 933L is taking the action and must be able to create folders. Every other FTP client is able to do this. Why has the 933L problems with it???

Please escalate this issue !!! Please help. Such a simple problem can be fixed very easy by a D-Link 933L developer! I'm sure !! But please contact a developer!!!!!
