This procedure addresses the root cause and resolution of a DNS-320L UPnP issue reported by users after upgrading to firmware version 1.02b07.
Reported Issue
After upgrading to DNS-320L firmware version 1.02b07, the UPnP server does not list the files in shared folders that previously displayed using older firmware.
Procedure
One of the changes in DNS-320L firmware version 1.02b07 is the unification of the My Photos and My Music database.
- Due to this change, a full refresh of all DNS-320L shares is required to re-list the files in those folders after upgrading the firmware. Users are required to manually initiate a refresh as there is no auto refresh functionality
- New shares added in the Multimedia Share Settings after the firmware upgrade will require a manual refresh to list the folder contents
