OLED problem?

I am confused with this OLED problem people have mentioned. I bought my DNS-345 today and noticed it has firmware version 1.00 already installed. I set my OLED to time out in 10 seconds, however I still transferring data back to my NAS 2 hours later and I am still able to login to it.

So what am I missing?

My NAS has four 1.5TB drives in RAID 5.
