Adding COVR-2200 to mesh network
« on: July 22, 2020, 09:21:21 AM »

Hi all,
I have a COVR-2202 mesh network and I need to add another router. I was thinking at DIR-2660 but I can only find info saying that it will work only with the DAP-1620 extenders. I was thinking at buying another 1 or 2 COVR routers but they only have 2 LAN ports and I need for the master.
Thanks.

Ya, not sure if COVR worth with other DIR routers. I know the 2660 has a MESH option. I've not tried it. My 2660 works with my DAP-1820.

If you have COVR, it's easy to add additional LAN ports with a external Gb LAN switch. Like D-Links DGS-105 or 108 series or DGS-1100. You can use other non d-Link Mfr switches as well. I have a 24 port HP pro curve switch on my network.
