Title: DHCP with Bridge
Post by: waldo_phill on October 18, 2015, 12:34:57 PM
Hello everyone here is the issue I am hoping to resolve...

I have my DIR-890L hooked and and working quite well (after some issues with my original cable modem.)
I am now attempting to connect a DIR-868l as a wireless bridge for a few of my devices.
Here is where I come to the issue.
With wireless I am unable to obtain a IP address, however if I were to temporarily plug in the bridge I can obtain an IP address and then disconnect it works.
When attempting to connect the bridge with wireless it shows the the discover code is sent but that is all.

DIR 890L:
HW: A1
FW: 1.08

Am I missing some type of setup step here?

PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again. (For older generation routers.)
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.

Is Smart Connect enabled on the 890L? Try disabling it and scan with the 868L in bridge mode.
