To see or not to See
« on: December 16, 2009, 01:18:25 PM »

I am having a strange issue with my dsm-510

If I plug it into my DIR-655 router, it find the two media servers no problem, if it is plugged into one of my 3Com switches that serves the rest of the house, it doesn't see the media servers (one DNS-323 and one TVersity)

I wouldlike to add an additional media loung or two, but wanna get this resolved first.

See picture attached

Any suggestions

Do you have the DHCP server disabled on one of the routers? We may need to know a little more about your network configuration settings because I see that you have two routers in your network and two Internet connections. What happens if you remove the DI-604 from the network and power cycle all devices?

Neither of the routers has DHCP enabled, it's being done by one of the windows servers - so no matter where you plug in, it's the same DHCP scope
