Title: Problems on Firmware v. 1.11
Post by: nettewurk on January 23, 2015, 09:26:32 AM
Tried to update from 1.01.18 to 1.11.00 but still the setup wizard can't detect my DCS-6010L.  The same thing goes to v1.10.  Problems are the setup wizard can't detect the phone either via cable or wired.  Did anybody able to use this version?  My unit with 1.01.18 fimrware version can be detected by the setup wizard.   I need help!!!

Are you using the most recent version of the Setup Wizard? Remove and re-install the most current version...

Be sure to disable any PC security SW while setting up the camera. Have the Camera wired to the main host router while setting it up...

If you connect the camera wired to the router, look at the routers DHCP connected clients page. Find the IP address that is associated with the camera, I think you can use that IP address to connect to the cameras web page as well...If you can.

1.11.00 made my DCS-6010L nearly inoperable.  My DNR-326 can no longer show video from the camera.  MYDLINK constantly shows the camera is offline.  I can connect to the webif and login, but I cannot make changes to any settings and successfully save them.  No video is displayed in the webif.  It appears to also be causing problems as the physical reset button does not work 100% of the time.  By constantly power cycling I was able to get it to come up so that the reset button worked correctly to start from factory settings, only to have the unit experience the same problems after power cycling.

It seems if I keep powering the unit off and them on, it might come up correctly 1 out of 10 times, and it seems to work correctly for a small amount of time.  I was able to get it to power up correctly after many tries and downgraded to 1.01.18 and it works fine all the time.

rKozola,

- What hardware revision are your cameras?
- What browser (including version) are you using?
- Were the cameras connected via the wireless connection when they were updated?
- Were there any specific features configured e.g.,  Motion detection, email notification, FTP transfer, etc...

We'll appreciate any help you can provide regarding these items.

Thank you!

Yes I'm using the recent version downloaded 2 weeks ago.

As for the security, do in need to disable my windows defender/security essential?    As for the IP address, I've already assigned its MAC address to DHCP server to fix its IP address..  Other than the disabled defender still getting the same inoperable camera :(  My option is to bring it for repair.  Probably some of my household select to upgrade using mydlink+ but the said camera is connectecd via WiFi.   It should disable this firmware upgrade by detecting it first if connected via cable or not.  Crap, I think only repair can do.  Recently I've been getting red LED maybe due to many times of upgrading it betweej 1.01 and 1.10/1.11.  Why?

Thanks for the information.

When you say "Version 1" is your reference to Hardware Version A1 ?   There is also a hardware Version A2 and I'm just trying to get the specific version here, for lab replication. Thanks again gentlemen!

Hardware Version: A1
Firmware Version: 1.11.0 and 1.10.01
Browser: IE 9,11, Firefox 34, Chrome 32
Updated vi wired connection
Factory Reset before and after.  On 1.11.0 and 1.10.01, had to unplug camera, hold reset button, plug camera in, continue holding reset button, unplug, replug to get reset to take
Connecting to camera via DNR-326 as well

I tried many times, there were times after a reset, I could not even change any settings as changing values and clicking save would cause the webif to no longer be available.  The only things I normally turn on are motion detection, change camera location and flip and mirror, and set static address.  When trying 1.11.0 or 1.10.01, when the camera starts acting up I cannot get video through webif or via a DNR-326.

After nth time, I was able to successfully to put F/W 1.11 thru myflink and website access. However after 1 day, suddenly it was detected offline. Tried to access it thru webUI but also got an error. In my cloud router, it registered a 0.0.0.0 IP address.  After many time restarting or power off, the router registered its DHCP assigned IP but still getting no response from the camera. Pinging it gives me a very good signal since its location is just over the cloud router where it connects. Is there again a troubleshooting technique for this? Or I have to resort again to cable connection or downgrading the firmware to 1.01.18 which is very stable for me. Using the latter it will again prompt the new F/W upgrade. Please help. Wills 1.12 be released soon which would be stable as 1.01? Firmware used are all downloaded to its server locality thru mydlink support. I'm really having trouble with mid range cameras including DCS-5222LB1 due to WiFi connected camera firmware upgrade using myDlink. Thanks.

Yes, it happened to me too. I'm upgrading from 1.01.18.

I bought 3 camera for this type.

The first camera I upgraded so many times until it became stable. I'm hoping it will stable though I can see a bit sluggish and the camera keep panning. I don't know how to stop it.

The second camera also i upgraded, and I can't see a thing!

I stopped for 3rd camera. I don't want to upgrade anymore. It is usable and operable.

NOTE:
1. It was perfectly stable and no problem without upgrading. After upgraded, it became unstable.

2. Yes, i upgraded via cable not wireless.

3. Yes, I'm using Internet Explorer(updated), chrome.

4. Yes, I reset so many times.

Please, please...fix this bug with this firmware.

NEW BUG:
1. If I reboot from the Web, (Click the reboot button), after the reboot, I can't access the page. it says "err: can't link to the web" . I had to unplug the plug and plug it again. But I can ping the camera using cmd.

EDITED:
Revert back to 1.01.18. Smooth and stable.

Is there no update or status why if some were able to make it work smoothly using this version?  Most of the posting I've read for this firmware upgrade had problems using 1.10 and 1.11 so like me, reverted back to 1.10.18.  1.12 or 1.20 based from 1.01 :)

Still no firmware upgrade here?  My 6010L experiences recently frequent disconnection, compared to other older D-Link cameras maybe due  to wear and tear of upgrading/downgrading version.  The tint is still there.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
