How to move a non-RAID drive from a 323 to a 343
« on: December 13, 2008, 01:48:24 PM »

I have been able to install a 323 non-raid drive in my new 343 without selecting a partition type, which requires me to format it.  Please tell me why I can't just mount it without formatting, and then I'll tell you why you're wrong.

Because the unit tracks the drive by serial number ?

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.
