I just picked up a new 202L and got it set up on my network. I updated to the latest firmware and linked up 4 cameras.
I am trying to disable the microphones for the DVR recordings and no matter how many times I try the check mark keeps coming back next to "enable microphone"
Process:
Log into the 202
Select Camera - Audio Video
Select CH01 1, the click the audio tab, remove the check mark next to "enable microphone"
Click "save settings", I get "saving" then a message in a pop up window that says "save Successful"
BUT, if I click over to another camera and then back to CH01 the check mark is back again next to "enable microphone"
-
I have similar problem. I make changes, get popup that Save Successful, then check later and changes have not been applied. Have done this over and over and on different days after shut-downs, but changes not applied.

Can you disable the audio on the cameras themselves?

Yes.

I disabled my 2210L camera from the DNR-202L interface and checked the Playback video and there is no more audio.
I can not even turn on the Audio button in the live Playback mode.
I'll "check back later" and see if it is turned back on.
-
Still turned off after 2.5 hours.
Please do tell which camera you are using and it's F/W #?

Will do. May not be until after the weekend.

OK, before I do a reset I made a little video showing everyone my situation. You can see all the settings, issues, etc. Maybe it will help.

I'll pass this along to D-Link for review. Please be patient.

I haven't watched your video yet - but under Schedule->Schedule Recordings there is an option to "Enabled Audio Recording" which might be overriding the other settings.
At 11:10 you do also have that unchecked.
I haven't subscribed the DNR202l to the mydlink.com, and I don't have that camera. Could be one of those 2 items.
-oh yeah - I've also noticed those extra prompts recently for having to "login" again. I'll have to try the cancel because it's annoying.

Upgraded from 2.03.02 to 2.04.03 FW today and looks like it is back working again! I can also see my recordings from past days (so it was recording fine, just couldn't access).
And, so far, I can turn off the mic in the camera and it remembers it and carries over to the same setting for the mic in the 202 (as it should!). Will all be well after a few days... we shall see.
-
Glad it's working for you now. Keep us posted. ;)

Well, the Mic still seems to be an issue. Each day when the system is on it looks like the mic is activated. I turn it off and it stays off, then, next day, it is back on. Need some more days to fool around with this. Will keep you posted.

I'm pretty sure I turned my MIC Off in the DNR-202L and went to watch a video later in Playback - and heard my TV. :o
-
So you think the 202L is re-enabling audio at some point?
-
Or never really turning it off.
I'm testing with a 2210L.
Something is going on with it like the other guy says in his video.
I'll do some more concentrated testing.
-
Let us know. Take notes on what you do.
-
I logged into the DNR-202L tonight and the settings were still set to off.
I exported some video from tonight, and no audio was detected.
I went to Playback some live video - and heard no audio. The audio option was disabled. (which is good).
-
Any status on this? ???

As suspected. no matter how many times and different ways I turn off the mic, it never stays that way. Even minutes later I can go back and check and it is back on.
Made another quick video, showing how things look after the new Firmware from last weekend. Yes, the 202 is back functioning well, as I reported earlier, but, well, take a look at the vid. And it is not just the Mic, I always change the Mbps from 1 to 1.5 and that never stays either.

Be sure to look at the text description with the vid, some addl info and theories are there.
Ok, Keep us posted.

I'll pass this to D-Link and see if we can get some eyes on this. This maybe an issue between the 202L and the 935L...
-
OK, I just went back and did a more thorough clearing of my IE browser cache. Then got out of IE, then went back in and mic was off. Maybe a good omen but too soon to tell and will have to see if it holds for another day, after shut-down and restart. Will update tomorrow......

Ok, ya clearing the cache will help I hope. Let is know. ;)
-
So much for that- just went back and checked again, mic back on and bit rate back to the old setting. (sigh)

Ok, thanks for checking. I'll see if I can get some info.
