Title: Smart fan?
Post by: thecycler on July 13, 2015, 12:30:19 PM
Hi,

I just got my D-Link DGS-1210-24P Network Switch.  I've mounted it vertically in a wall mounted server cabinet. Hope that is not a problem...
The unit works perfectly.

However... the fan is blowing all the time at full speed! All day long... all night long ...

The manual states it's a SMART fan.  I thought this meant that the fan only works depending on the temperature...

Does anyone know which settings i have to set on or off to make the fan smart?

Thanks a lot for your well appreciated reply.

Hi all,  still no reaction.  I read in the other post, that some guys change the fan...

Is there really no way to activate in the settings, so that the fans only run when needed?

This sound is making me crazy...

Thanks!
