This product is not released in the United States. You can formally request GPL through your local D-Link Office.

Sorry, but i don't think that is the "right" answer.
I asked in my Local Office and the answer was: "We don't have, please hold on"...

So, how they made the firmware, if they don't have it ? (not a real question thought :D)

GPL Sources are available on German FTP Server:
ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dns/dns-320/driver_software/DNS-320_GPL_code_revA.tgz
That is the source for firmware 1.0 (european release), but now we have the v2.0, with a different source...
Already saw that.
Can confirm in tsd.dlink.com.tw, where is clearly stated that is v1.0 release (european).
You still have in that ftp the old 2.0 beta6 release...

The GPL is also located on our US ftp... ftp://gpl.dlink.com/DNS-320/
will test it, thanks.

D-Link has, in my opinion, much more to win sharing the GPL source, or at least making a "Feature Request" that closing the code. Community can make the devs work easier.
Users can add/develop themselves more features to such a great device.

The so-called GPL source is incomplete IMO as it doesn't include code for programs written by D-link. Furthermore, as stated by other the source is for FW1.00 not 2.00

Hi
after I got the source code for fw 1.0 (see GPL violations mailing list for more info)
I did check it, and found it was 100% complete, the dlink own software the wrote
are under dlink own source code licence. and they have release it only in binary form
as GPL allow. I can not see any fault from dlink side. But I wish they did explain
how to make my own custom firmware modification into the firmware. see the dns-325 wiki
( http://wiki.dns323.info/dns-320 I have updated that guide long time ago) how to make those change.
