DES 1228P - Web Console Issue
« on: October 05, 2011, 07:14:37 AM »

Hi,

I have recently got DES 1228P POE switch. I am having trouble in accessing its web based management console. The switch is not accessible via its default ip on network. It becomes accessible once restarted but after a min it gets d/c from network.

Any ideas?

Hi everybody.

I have the same problem.
Anyone do know the solution ?
My first experience with a switch dlink should be better than a web interface dead.

Thanks for help

I know this is old, but if I remember correctly the default IP is 192.168.0.1  If you have another machine / router / server / etc on the network with the same IP then it'll conflict.  Your best bet is to set the IP of another computer to a static address somewhere in 192.168.0.x area, plug it directly into that switch, and isolate that switch from the rest of the network.
