DSL 2740B Bridge Mode
« on: November 09, 2010, 06:34:55 AM »

First off, sorry if this is the wrong place to post.  I can’t see anything dedicated to my router – the DSL 2740B.

I want to know if it’s possible to put this into bridge mode.

I have brought a Linksys WRT610 N router for two reasons.

The first is my iDevices just don’t like the Dlink.  The ipad has intermittent problems and the iphone 4 barely works on it at all.   My wireless HP printer also struggles from time to time.  All devices have constant connections but seem to struggle to access the net / the printer is unreachable until the Dlink is restarted.
Meanwhile, my laptop, PC and PS3 connect with no problems 24/ 7.

The second is I want to share my USB harddrive over the network.

Anybody know how to flick the Dlink into bridge mode so it can act as a modem and the Dlink can do the routing?

Thanks in advance.

Dave.
