Firmware .bin File has the same hashes that one I've previously downloaded from routers interface. So, next time will be safe flash with that update firmware detected on router interface.

Greets! :P

Works muct better then the last update thus far, 2.05 was a MAJOR pain to install on my box.

Seems to be a tad better throughput. ;D

I recommend keeping what you have loaded if it works with out any problems.

"If it works, don't fix it!"

As Furry said, unless you are technical enough to either trouble shoot or go back to the old firmware, then don't mess with what works.

I have already identified myself to TWC as someone intrested in doing IPV 6 testing and was questioned about my hardware, which was supposedly noted. Heck, they were shocked I already had a Docsis 3/IPV6 ready modem because they are barley rolling out Docsis 3 in my hood and a tech has to come to your house and and install a Docsis 3 modem, why, I have no clue. They remotely tested me and certified me for their fastest speed with no tech visit(40 bucks for the tech visit, NOT).

As I remember it, 2.02 was fairly stable except for IPV6, and it was a BEAR when I went to 2.05. It took me quite some time to get 2.05 working properly when I came from 2.02 :-[ The 2.06 upgrade for me was smooth, it did not even wipe my settings. But IPV6 is still way off for most, so this is something most can wait on if they are not having problems.

My kids and I will beat the heck out of it this weekend and see if there are any major bugs........

Keep us posted Patrick. I might try the update if results are good. My 2.05 router is working well for me. I need to find out if my ISP is going to roll out IPv6. Then you can come visit me and set it up. hehe.  ;)

I noticed today they rolled out 2.06 on 8/11 (via FTP anyway).  Will wait on this to see reports from others for obvious reasons.  I have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem myself so maybe it will be worthwhile when it's proven.

FYI

This firmware fixes an issue with IPv6 over IPv4 tunnels.  This would be relevant for anyone who needs to have IPv6 connectivity.

Also, it does not wipe your settings so it is a fairly painless upgrade.

Internet quit working last night in the middle of doing some research.(TWC Los Angeles)

Restarted modem and router, modem acted funny for a minute and then one of the lights on the modem turned from green to blue(it has always been green from what I can remember). The SB6120 modem manual says the blue light means I have bonded download channels.

Did a speed test, 75M x 2M :o Say what? Did another speed test, 76M x 2M. It appears that DOSIS 3.0 is now on in my hood. ;D

So I will say that 2.06 is good to at least 75Mbps down. The downside, moving in 3 weeks and will be stuck with Charter cable......

Also checked for native IPV6, no go(too much to ask for???). I would have been nice to verify that before I move into Charter land!

Still no problems with 2.06, might have to try and downlaod a large file at 75Mbps and see if the Dir-825 overheats.

Ya, the green light usually will remain green until the ISP servers get around to updating the modem and have the modem start bonding. Took mine about 3 days to become bonding. Is that the speed package your paying for? I just upgraded from 10 and 1 to 50 and 2. Love it. Native IPv6 will come from the ISP and I think the SB6120 supports it.  ::)
