Title: This one or another one?
Post by: caraM on December 16, 2017, 08:02:14 AM
I'm looking for feedback on the 2630, and on opinions on whether this is the best DLink camera for me.  I think I want to stay with DLink, despite some of the problems I have with my DCS-5009L, I LOVE that I can use the FTP and motion features to record video clips to MY OWN internal NAS drive, and don't need to pay for an external cloud service.

But the DCS-5009L only has one-way audio, and it has become apparent that I need to be able to better communicate with my delinquent dog, on occasion, and to record motion in my entire room without having to pan/tilt.

So I'm thinking about the 2630 -- but is the 2-way audio going to be LOUD enough, without adding on, for my dog to hear me speak through the camera?

Is there an advantage to the 936, over the 2630?  I need 2 way audio, prefer 180 degree lens, want IP, remote viewing, FTP, motion sense (don't need sound sense).

Any advice?

thanks

I presume the best way to find out if the camera will work is to get one from a Place of Purchase that has a good refund and return policy.

Let us know how it goes.
