Hello,
I bought a new d link 853 and I am unable to login to router interface.
I have two routers - one ip tv + wifi and one only wifi. I want to replace the only wifi router with my new dlink 853.
What I am doing is just following the instrcutions. First I called my ISP and they told me there are no restrctions on the mac. I need only to unplug and replug the cable in the new router.
So what I did setup dynamic obtain ip - in the network settings. I tried both wireless and cable connection.
The cable from the wall to my WAN port and patch cable from the box to one lan port and in my laptop. However when trying to login 192.168.0.1 It never loads the router interface.
I try hard reset with the pin - to no avail. I tested on different laptop still the same.
I do not know what do to as I tried so many different things and so far I am still not able to login to router interface.
Maybe it is a death on arrival router?
Any suggestions ?

- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Did you get this router from your ISP or from a retail store?
