OSX 10.9 and DIR-625
« on: September 04, 2014, 10:51:57 AM »

My OSX 10.9.4 can't find the usb drive attached to the DIR-625 C1. I tried both

Shareport 1.10 (downloaded from the product's support page)
Shareport Plus 4.40 (found on the ftp server)

but nothing works. However my other computer running Win XP finds the usb storage with Shareport 1.14.
I know that this device is not supported anymore, but please help somehow.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

OSX 10.9.4/SP and this model router may not be supported thus it may not work at all on OSX.

Try this:

As an alternative solution, you may want to connect the USB drive to a USB to LAN converter and avoid using SP on the Mac to connect to the drive via an IP address.

Ok, I think your best option would be to get the drive on a USB to LAN network converter...  :-\
