Cameras going down and burning IP
« on: December 13, 2016, 04:30:52 PM »

i operate a large number of these cameras, and have been having a recurring issue. I will have a number of cameras crash and not return. i remove the cameras hard reset and change the IP and the camera works again. if i use the old IP on another camera it will not work. has anyone else experienced this issue? it is almost like the crashes are burning the old IP's.

Which router are you using?  How is the router configured?

How many is a large #?  10-20?  all on 2.4 Ghz?

Are you streaming them all at once?

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

More than 20, all are hard wired to the network but some are POE. It isn't a router issue, and i am programming them with static IP's.

What is the Mfr and model of the router?
Is there a network switch being used as well?
