Error Code 1117
« on: February 01, 2010, 12:22:13 PM »

Since 6 months i installed my DNS-323 and it was working excellent !!! :)
I was using in RAID 1 configuration to store  daily and nightly backup from a small-office server.
Now it happens that backups are aborted because Error Code 1117.
I tested the disks separately : both raise Error Code 1117 trying to copy file.
I can't say how many files raise that error by the way are many and many.

Disks :
Hitachi Deskstar
Model : HDP725050GLA360
Capacity : 500GB

DNS-323 :
Firmware 1.03

Is an I/O failure due the disk or due to the DNS-323 ?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Stefano Campri

I'd test them connected to a computer using the disk manufacturer's diagnostic to see if the drives test properly.

I tested the disks both running the Hitachi Drive Fitness (Andvanced mode)
Both disks resulted OK

Now i'm sure that porblems is caused by the DNS-323

How to proceed ?

Thanks in advance,

Warranty replacement I would guess.
