Volume 1-1
« on: November 08, 2012, 11:30:27 PM »

Hi,

I have 4 2TB hard drives installed on the DNS-343 as follows:

Volume 1
Volume 1-1
Volume 2
Volume 3
Volume 4

What is Volume 1-1 and how can I remove it? it seems to be the same as Volume 1. Thanks.

Do you see "Volume_1.1" on the Web UI or as a mapped drive on your PC?

Also, how do I check the type of partition I am using in my drive, ie, EXT2 or EXT3? Thanks.

Where exactly do you see the name "Volume 1-1"?
Log into the Web UI by entering the IP address of the DNS-343 into a browser.  Press the "Status" Link along the top.

Unfortunately, other than remembering the option you selected during HDD formatting, there is no way to check whether each HDD is EXT2 or EXT3 through the Web UI.
