isn't this router supposed to be the top model from dlink

i have reseted it , update to last firmware 1.13 but no hope

also what wrong with this firmware everything is very basic and my old cheap router have more customization

the qos feature is the worst i have ever seen. i have 50/10 connection and when i put my ps4
on high priority and i check speed on other devices they only get 10/10  !!!? really

my old 30$ router let me assign bandwidth for devices  and this 400$ router only allows me to use a stupid drag and drop menu !!!!? really

Router Placement
Forum User - "Well I feel really dumb. After moving the router away from other electronic devices my speeds are back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone experiencing slow speeds, you might want to move it away from other electronics and see if that helps."
3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.

Has a Factory Reset been performed? YES
Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?YES

Was the router working before any firmware updates? i called the d'link support and they told me i must update it to ver 1.13 because my connection use vlan id and ver 1.12 don't support it.

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL? dsl
What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have? i don't know it's from my isp and it doesn't have any information on it

i'm having new problem with it.

i can't log in to the router .first it only allows me to connect to 192.168.0.1 only once and if i refresh the page it shows me error message
" can't reach the page" and i have to turn it off and on

also after connecting to the page i can only pass the (user / password ) after that if i tried to go to other settings ( wireless  , network , management .....)

it lag and show this message " router  not found " then another message " page not found " :) :) :) :)

Did you follow this to update the FW? Link> >FW Update Process

If not I recommend you read that link and follow it and reload v1.13 FW using IE11 or FF. Clear the browser cache before and after loading the FW file. Exit the browser then try to access the router at 192.168.0.1...Be LAN cable wired to the router with the PC.

Use IE11 or FF or Opera to configure the router.

Please try to get the modem information if possible. Can post a picture of it if you can:

Is QoS enabled?
How about IPv6? Disable both of these. Set Local Only on IPv6.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I have forwarded your information and concerns to D-Link support for review. Please stop making inflammatory comments about D-Link products as they will be removed. I understand your frustration regarding the router and your experiences. Please allow D-Link support to review this issue and allow them to make corrections and fix the problems.

Have you tried this new beta version?
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=66830.0

It was to fix a DDNS issue however I don't know if it's fixes anything else...

I'll have D-Link review this. Do you have a case # for this if you contacted D-Link already? If you do, please PM me the Case #.

Only  posts i've deleted are the ones that are inflammatory and ones that are not relevant to other posts. I unlocked this one so we could continue with your problems with this router. I have pointed you to a beta to see if that has any help for you. I have passed this on to D-Link forum admins and other support people to have a look at this. I understand the frustration, however if you wont respond to what I've been asking for and making suggestions to you, then I hope you'll find better luck else where. We are trying to help you and and see if we can get this resolved. There maybe an issue with your unit and needs to be RMAd and getting into a new one may fix this as well. We have not seen a lot of users post about this recently and your currently the only one with this issue. So this could be a bad router all around and needs to be changed out. Something you might ask D-Link support about.

Someone maybe responding shortly.

hello mrjouroo,

Is the issue replicated on the wired / LAN connection or only wireless?

Just wondering if you loaded the latest Beta that I posted about?
What city are you located?

So when your testing 2.4Ghz, are you testing with mixed modes or single mode like N only on manual channel 11? Test with radio output on High and Medium? I've seen some other users with the 890L report that they had better experiences with the radio set for Medium. Can you try this?
What devices do you have connected on the 2.4Ghz radio?

If it comes to this, I would make contact with support and ask for an RMA and you can even do this, as for a cross shipped unit. They will ship you a new unit and then you ship your old one back. They'll charge you if you don't send the unit back. This would give you time to test the new unit out and see if it corrects what your seeing with your current unit.
