Turning DIR-601 into a Switch Somehow?
« on: February 13, 2012, 03:00:23 PM »

I've been trying to connect my D-Link DIR-601 router with a Motorola SBG901 cable modem.  The modem itself has a built-in WIFI (G) and one ethernet port, but not good enough for my purposes.  I need more wired connections and an (N) WIFI connection, which the D-Link could provide, if I could get it to work.  I just cannot get the two pieces of equipment to talk to each other.  I can set up 2 independent LAN's, but no WAN (internet connection) from either.  D-Link has provided pages of instrutions, but nothing works.  Any ideas, anyone?   Somebody said to convert the router to a switch, but how.....
