Does anyone notice that with this release, Guest Zone is active if SC is enabled and if you disable SC and go to Guest Zone, the 5Ghz guest radio is running? If you disable it and save settings, guest zone disappears however re-enabling SC causes the 5Ghz guest zone radio to be re-enabled.

Yes, I had the same problem. The only way I was able to turn off the Guest Zone completely was to manually turn it on after enabling SC and then go back and manually turn it off.

Another issue I had which I did not experience in 1.06 is I could not save just a name change for connected clients. The Save button is always greyed out. The work around I found was to edit the name as needed, turn on Parental Controls, which activated the Save button, then turn off Parental Controls and then finally press the Save button.

Thanks...i've added the guest zone issue to the bug list.

Let us know if trying a different browser and or clearing all browser caches results in any different behavior with the save button.
What OS platform are you using?

At first, I thought it might have been a browser issue also. However, I tried IE 11, MS Edge and Google Chrome (my default browser) all displaying the same issue.  As mentioned earlier, this issue does not occur in FW 1.06.

My OS is Windows 10 x64.

I'll have a look at this on mine as well. I was testing with Mac and I didn't get a chance to test in Windows 10.

I see the following:
Fixes:
1. default disable WPS-PIN function
2. fix issue of Change WAN mode from DHCP to PPPoE, PPPoE dail will stuck few minutes

This is only for the RU region or eastern EU region only. Its not recommended to load this FW if your out side the RU or eastern EU region.

D-Link is aware of other issues at hand for this model router and I presume they are working on them for the next FW update for all other regions.
Please review any new Recent Announcements section for updates and also find new FW update notices here as well:

Please be patient.

I thought I would give it ago anyway since it does have the WW in the fw name...
A couple of graphical differences I have noticed, attached clients now have a wifi bar graph which looks like it actually displays the strength of the connection, it also displays a 5G icon next to any wireless 5G connections, I will keep looking for anything else...:)

edit: On clients with parental controls enabled it also displays a little icon to let you know they are currently time locked, which I think is a nice touch.
edit: Emm time locked icon doesn't change though when they actually do have access...:/

Edit: it's late, sorry. I realise my first bug has been talked about above. No amount of enabling and disabling works. With SC off I get the weird extra dlink network too.

I needed Vlan tagging for my new ISP, so dlink support told me to go to 1.07 (WW region). So far I seem to have come across two nasty bugs.

To my dismay I have had the guest network on AND unsecured since I flashed the firmware. I have recently moved to an apartment with many dwellings in all directions, so this is a problem. We have an unlimited fibre connection, and most internet is capped in New Zealand... you get the picture. What's worse is that it's DISABLED in the router config (I never once enabled it). I know it's me because it goes down when I reboot the router. For now I have set a password, but it's been unsecured for a week. I have so many wireless networks nearby I didn't notice it at first. But there it is, a big fat dlink-guest for everyone to see. I'm using smart connect, but disabling that does nothing to the symptoms. I don't want a guest wifi network using up the router resources and wifi space (it sits right on the same channel as my main network).

Secondly I have a repeatable bug that took me a whole day of troubleshooting. After flashing the firmware and hard resetting the router, the initial setup wizard asks you to set an admin password. If you go back and try to change this from the GUI after the fact, you are permanently locked out of the router, and have to hard reset again. You get to find that out after configuring the whole thing and finally needing to reboot. Then think you're going crazy for getting it wrong. Also if you use a complex password on the initial wizard, the same thing happens. I was finally able to set it up on 1.07 with a less complex passphrase made up of simple words and no numeric or special characters.

I need the vlan so can't downgrade. Should I be trying 1.08?
