boost wifi
« on: November 17, 2014, 04:29:10 AM »

i am looking to increase my wifi range.
my situation is...
i have a 60square meter one bed apartment. the router is located in the lounge and to get to the bedroom you pass the kitchen into the bedroom, so 2 walls are separating bedroom to lounge.
at night when on my ipad in the bedroom sometime i experience very slow performance sometimes to the extent of not useable.
i have been looking into wifi range extender solution, am i right in thinking that a home plug will be better for me as this will use power lines to transmit the signal thus having no interference. 'D-Link DHP-501AV PowerLine AV 500 Adapter Starter Kit' is what i have been looking at.
what are your recommendations?

I PL kit would be worth reviewing and checking out or maybe a DAP model extender a well instead of a PL kit. Or you could use a PL kit then connect a wireless DAP model in AP mode for additional WiFi.
