Log settings: Unable to send router logs to an email address
« on: February 16, 2010, 05:39:24 PM »

I'm trying to configure the log settings page to send router logs to my email address but I'm unable to...

Has anyone got this feature to work?
Any help would be appreciated :)

Below is some info regarding the log settings from the product manual:

Log Settings

SMTP Server/IP Address:
The address of the SMTP server that will be used to send the logs.

Email Address:
The email address to which the logs will be sent. Click on Send Mail Now to send the email.

Save Log File to Local Hard Drive:
Click to save the log to your hard drive.

Log Type:
Check the type of alert you want logged.

Hi,
I've used it and it worked for me.   RevA  firm 1.05.
make sure you use proper smtp server name and depending on your ISP you may need to put the user account and password to be able to send emails...

Sorry I can't be of  any real help but at least you know it should be working...

Hi cloon,

I have the same firmware, Rev. 1.05,the latest.

I'm pretty sure I have the proper SMTP server info.

What do you mean by this comment: "epending on your ISP you may need to put the user account and password to be able to send emails..."
Where would I input this info?

Thank you for your reply
