Title: DES-3226L Script Transfer Help Please
Post by: kranzrm on January 25, 2012, 02:40:11 PM
First, thanks in advance for any help or suggestions someone could provide.

I'm trying to transfer a script via tftp to my switch.  Here's a breakdown of what I've done.

A tcpdump shows the file being transfered as well, so I'm really stumped on this.

Here's the command and output. This is how the CLI Manual shows to do this.  This is also the script file I uploaded previously.

Code: [Select]
(Console) #copy tftp://10.90.90.91/myrun.scr nvram:script myrun1.scr
Mode........................................... TFTP
Set TFTP Server IP............................. 10.90.90.91
TFTP Path......................................
TFTP Filename.................................. myrun.scr
Data Type...................................... STK
Destination Filename........................... myrun1.scr

Management access will be blocked for the duration of the transfer
Are you sure you want to start? (y/n) y

Validating configuration script...

Error: Downloaded file not found.

File transfer failed!

One thing that might be a cue is that Data Type is listed as STK.  My search of the interwebs and have yielded nothing.

Thanks

I talked to Customer Service.  Apparently, this is a problem in all releases of firmware for their device.  Because this product is near/at end of life, it is not going to be fixed.
On the bright side, their customer service was quick to get back with me on this.... to let me know that there is no fix.

Thanks D-Link, your thorough code review inspires confidence.
