Title: Fails with Linksys WRT160N base
Post by: danorton on April 03, 2010, 04:12:11 PM
I tried every possible variation of the DAP-1360 with a Linksys WRT160N (http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/lbc/WRT160N) base unit and they simply didn't play nicely together. I configured both "Wireless Client" mode, connecting via the LAN port and and "Repeater" mode, connecting both via the LAN port and WiFi, and my notebook's internal Atheros AR5007EG (http://www.atheros.com/pt/AR5007EG.htm) WiFi client adapter got a much better connection directly to the Linksys base.

Good luck to the rest of you, but I'm taking this one back to Fry's.

I believe I have to do the same thing (take it back to Fry's).  My DAP-1360 just can't keep connections functional for long when using the Linksys WRT160N as the base access point.  (See other post on thread regarding dropped connections).  I guess I'll have to buy a linksys range extender.  -- Eric

Mine's going back to Fry's too. Constant dropping with my link sys 610n.
