Neato. Did you drop the camera recently?  8)

Sounds like a hardware issue if you are hearing it through multiple sources.

Definitely move the camera when you get home and try again. Ticking usually is interference but if it happens in multiple locations the microphone is probably broke.

Ah NO.  :P  Been sitting on top of a refrigerator upstairs.

I'll move it and see. I might downgrade the FW as a test.

All 3 are in different locations in my place.

Ok so I got home and took the camera and placed it over by my PC desktop. Powered ON and guess what, no ticking. I listed with a PC and my phone app.  :o
I put the camera back in it's original spot and again, no ticking. Wonder if after last FW update and reset, was in some bad state.

I'll call it fixed for now. I'll check back on it in a few days to make sure it still working right.  ???

I just checked again with my iPhone, not hearing anything. I Think the camera got in some bad state and a power cycle cleared the state. Camera is working well. No ticking.  ;D

Hi guys, I saw two more firmware versions since 1.06, which are listed on the same ftp location as 1.06 (ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/PRODUCTS/DCS-960L/REVA/).
It's about 1.07 (June 2019) and 1.09 (December 2019)
Tried to update my 960L (hardware version A1) with each of them but no luck. When i click "upload" I get some activity of the browser, I see the remote http port connection established in system connections list, but camera freezes (no response to a new web session attempt). Used both http and https. Nada. Upon reboot, the old firmware is still there, settings also, nothing bricked.
What's with these 2 new versions? Shall I try the upgrade using sdcard and recovery mode? (not sue if possible with this model though...).
Thanks!

I managed to upgrade, but I had to do a factory default first.
Exported the config, factory reset, uploaded firmware, imported back the config.
Consider it solved.
