updated 1 of 3 DCS-960L from firmware 1.03 to 1.06.  No reset done, so far it is working fine.

Note on firmware 1.03, the HTTPS will crash if continuous video feed, the HTTP will work fine and need reboot to regain https.
The  v1.06 is stable  (thumbs up)

I have to post a problem with the 960L that is generating a ticking sound coming from the camera when I enable the microphone and heard on my Mac Book Pro using OSX 10.14.6 on FF ESR v52.9.0. Goes away when I disable it. The other two cameras don't do this.

Ticking sound is faster than 1 second interval. Sound remains even if I move the camera or tap the cameras case. Other sounds can be heard thru the ticking sound. I moved the camera around to see if there was any interference. No.

Is the ticking only coming through the microphone or is it something physical (like IR filter getting stuck)?  Live view and recorded video?

Not sure. I put my ear up close to the camera case and don't hear anything coming from the camera. I didn't change the IR setting and will try that. The sound came from my laptop speakers while using the portal page and when I enabled the speaker audio on the cameras page. It stopped when the audio was disabled. Live view.

I'll check the IR settings when I get home after work.

Hmm. Could be some feedback/interference with your speakers maybe?

Can you record something and see if the sound comes from the recording (use a different source to listen to rule out the laptop speakers).

I am a couple f/w behind but I've always heard that through the phone app in 960l and 2630l.

The 2630l takes it a step further, like it's talking that you can't make out.

I don't think so. I had my mac book pro 2018 over at my desk far away from the camera. At least 25 feet so. This doesn't sounds like a audio feedback kind of problem. Sounds like a ticking sound happening like when you hear a clocks second hand click however this is about double time and faster than a second hand clock tick. Repetitive and continuous. I can hear other sounds coming from the camera like someone talking near the camera, it picks voices up ok. Just this ticking is in the foreground of the audio when enabled.

I'll plug in some headphones to the laptop and see what I hear.

Did it just start or has it always done that?

I don't honestly know. I haven't messed with the portal in some time for my cameras.  ::)
