Has anyone managed to flash a DIR-601 Rev B1 with any of the custom firmwares out there? I've tried all of them this morning and haven't had any luck. I set the router to recovery mode and tried openwrt, dd-wrt, tomato, and gargoyle. I tried with chrome, firefox, ultra simple web browser, and ie 8. Every attempt resulted in "Upgrade Failed". I know Rev A1 is supported by DD-WRT, just sucks newegg sent me a B1. Looks like several other routers run similar hardware, so it's got to be doable. Just praying maybe someone has done it, thanks in advance!

I would refer you to the WRT and 3rd party FW web sites regarding what they support and have tried. It's possible that the Rev B is too new and nobody has yet released any 3rd party FW due to they might still be working on it. It's also possible that Rev B may not support 3rd Party FW.

Yeah I've been all over every 3rd party website and forum I can find, haven't had any luck whatsoever.

I would presume the Rev B is just too new right now. It's not even on any Dlink web sites I can find right now. :-\

How long has the B1 been out approximately? I notice I can't find even the Dlink firmware for the B1.

Probably in the past 3 months best guess. :-\
