As long as this issue persists, I recommend leaving the cameras in Night Mode to avoid physical wear and tear on the IR cut Filter switching on/off.

One final request. If you haven't already done so, please try rebooting your router.
Also under Advanced > ICR and IR > IR LIGHT, try selecting Sync. With ICR

If this doesn't work, I'll see what else I can find out.

Just tried rebooting my router with same results.

Also the option you suggest is the default option so is activated by factory.

Short of some settings that we've overlooked that distinguish the working camera from the two non-working cameras, I'm at a complete loss here. Since the three cameras are identical, you can save the Configuration Settings file from the working camera and upload it to one of the non-working cameras running the same firmware as the working camera. Using this approach, you will eliminate any differences related to firmware + settings.

What do you mean a "diff-program"?

I am referring to the web UI paths:

  • MAINTENANCE > System > SYSTEM > Save Configuration (save configuration file from working camera)
  • MAINTENANCE > System > SYSTEM > Load Configuration (Load configuration to non-working camera)

Return it... or open it up and remove the gremlins and see what's wrong with it  ;D

The conundrum here is that this member owns three DCS-2230s and this issue persists on two of them. Two DCS-2230s with the same defect purchased by the same person seems highly unlikely.  ;)

Thanks.

Hi.

Hi returned 2 of 3 cameras.

Today I received 2 new cameras: same problem: IR Cut and IR Light ON/OFF.

I tried to cover the "IR Cut Sensor" and the problem persist: IR Cut and Light ON/OFF repeatedly...

Thanks for your reply.

All of these IR cut over events occur in pitch blackness, in a room without windows.

Thanks!

Not that it should matter -- are these cameras in the same room? Are they pointing at each other?

These might have been answered previously:

Does the problem persist with only 1 camera enabled in that room?

Do you have Sync with ICR on?

Have you tried with ir light control ALWAYS on?

Hi Ryat, thanks for your support, I'm so sad...

The problem persist with only 1 camera in the room.

IR light is in sync with ICR. The problem persist also with light control always on.

I tried to cover with black tape the "IR Cut sensor" and the problem persists.

This is the results:
