Title: Identifying DAP-1522 on Network
Post by: comprev on August 15, 2010, 08:50:04 PM
I have a new DAP-1522 running in AP mode. It came with firmware v1.21. The NetBIOS name entered in the built-in web page is NOT the name this unit passes to the network's DHCP server. Instead, the DHCP and DNS servers on the network show the name "DAP-1522". If I try to use more than one unit on the network, this is going to cause a problem (I currently have only one unit, but would like more). The unit should pass the name that has been entered in the Device Name/NetBIOS Name setting in the unit's built-in web setup that way I can set each unit to have a unique name on the network.
