Wrong link. Thats a link for a DIR-865L review

PS. In the review you state some people should turn off SPI. I disagree. SPI doesn't protect your WLAN from intrusion, it protects your LAN from the WAN. No mater where you live, there is alot of random traffic from worms and bot nets that SPI protects you from. It can also help protect infections on your network from spreading.

Corrected link.

That just as observation and I also noted that it could be. It's up to Users to decide how to use SPI. I am curious why they are shipping SPI off on that router though.

No, looks good though. Some freeware to do stress testing on networks? Useful.

Speaking of which, if you ever wanted a testing standard, Mr Higgens does it right. Check this out.

Belkin to Acquire Linksys From Cisco

Ooooo, man, they don't like D-Link, either in those forum comments. :(

Who does? Belkin is one of the cheapest brands and horrible software. To this day I refuse to help anyone with a belkin wireless adapter. I just tell them to buy something else...their that bad.

Seems to be that there trying to improve there reputation and name by buying Linksys. Oh well, more power to them. I'd buy NG before buying any Belkin.  ::)

Some of the forum comments were anti-DLink as well, but mostly dissing on Belkin.  I think just a lot of fanboys for other makes.

Yea, Im not a fan of favoritism. There is no such thing as a good brand.. specially with routers. Most of them have very similar parts inside and alot of the times, one brand will buy another brand so often, who can even tell which router was made by who?
