Title: DNS ShareCenter - Can I Install a ShareCenter Hard Drive in my Windows PC?
Post by: JavaLawyer on August 14, 2012, 07:09:05 AM
The ShareCenter series NAS formats hard drives using the Linux filesystem, rendering ShareCenter formatted hard drives unreadable by Windows PCs without the support of a specialized third party application. If a ShareCenter formatted hard drive is installed in a Windows PC and accessed without the aid of a specialized third party application, the ShareCenter hard drive may be rendered unusable and all data may be potentially lost.

Under no circumstances should a ShareCenter formatted hard drive be mounted and accessed in a Windows PC without the aid of a third party Windows application designed to read volumes formatted using the Linux filesystem.

Available Solutions
