Vlan spanning multiple swiches
« on: June 11, 2011, 01:59:03 PM »

I have four switches that are interconnected and I am trying to setup two vlans across all of them.  It will be just the default vlan 1 across all the switches, and a vlan 2 that will only have one port each on the farthest switch and nearest switch.  The models involved are des-3226sr(far end), 3226sr(next hop), 3550(next hop), 3550(near end).  Ports 1, and 2 on the 3226sr are used to interconnect the first three switches(3226 to 3226 to 3550) then fiber runs from the 3550s.  These vlans will not need to intercommunicate ever.

This is not my network but so I can not alter the physical network structure but they are allowing me to make small changes such as vlans across on their switches.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
