Seems like the only changes since last May were:

1. Now supporting SNMP / D-View
4. Default IP Address changed from 192.168.0.32 to AutoIP Address (169.254.x.x)
5. ADS now supports Windows Server 2008
6. UPnP AV Server updated and DLNA 1.5 Certified
11. SMART: Schedules now performing on time

The rest were already in the beta for a year.....

My thoughts as well. I wonder if additional changes will be made for the next beta/release other than the pending AFT functionality.

Even better....after loading, the date for the firmware is 11/24/2010. It took close to 6 months to release 4 extra changes? You would think VM support, some sort of backup support, maybe some new add ons that support those sort of things would be apart of this year long waited release. Nope....not at all. I'm willing to bet this was a EOL release.

Well there's still the AFT support forthcoming.  Although it seems unlikely (I presume) that additional new functionality/fixes will follow.

After upgrading to this firmware every time when the fan turns on a new note appear in the System Log which says fan can't rotate.
I checked the fans and they are rotating so it's a false alarm.
Anyone else noticed this problem?

Has anyone experienced an issue with the feature:

  • 2. OLED warning message "DISK IS FULL" can be enabled or disabled by user

The feature never really worked well for me in either v1.04 build 3 beta or v1.04 release.  Three of my four HDDs are filled close to capacity and I still receive the "DISK IS FULL" message despite checking "Disable" in the firmware.  All HDDs are formatted as standard volumes.  BTW - I have two DNS-343 with the same results on both units.

I was thinking that perhaps the feature only works for one volume configurations (e.g. RAID 5 or JBOD).  Can anyone using standard volumes confirm (or refute) my observations?

I noticed if I press the next button for a few sec. the fullscreen DISK IS FULL warning is disappear and there will be little icon between the network activity icon and HDD icon which says FULL. After that the OLED display go sleep mode.

If you restart the DNS-343 does the warning come back?

Yes, I have to press it again after reboot.

Not to nitpick, but once configured there should be no user interaction required to maintain this functionality.

I totally agree with you on this. That would be much better.
