1553 emails overnight from DNS-321 notification
« on: October 05, 2010, 08:14:56 AM »

Hello, have the DNS-321 Latest (year+ old) firmware 1.03. I was going out so I shut off my NAS. I had the setting to send me daily emails on HD info, size, status, etc...
When I turned it back on the next day and go to check my email, I see amost 1500 emails all from the DNS-321.  :o
They were all exactly the same email with regards to the HD size and free space etc...
I quickly logged in and disabled that feature.
Has anyone else ever hit this problem? I searched for email flood and nothing came up.

I suspect this may have been a glitch somewhere farther down the line.  If they have the same time sent, I doubt the NAS managed to get that many out instantly. :)

This happened again to me. I got 1400 emails from the DNS-321 unit over night. They were all sent out over a period of 10minutes....

Even after you disabled the facility?
