mydlink Live Feed too small
« on: December 05, 2012, 03:32:46 AM »

Hi. I made my new D-Link DCS-932L work perfectly, and can access it through mydlink and Android devices. But when I try to watch the live video through mydlink.com the video is very little. See attachment to check it.

How can i solve this?

As far as I know the frame size on mydlink is fixed and can't be changed.

Try logging into the Web UI using your browser and navigate to SETUP > Video > VIDEO PROFILE > Resolution. Change the Resolution to the maximum setting and click Save Settings.

I just tested my DCS-932L on IE and it does use the entire pane similar to the screenshot you provided. What browser are you using?

I tried IE, Chrome, Firefox and Safari on dofferent computers, so I guess is a config issue.

I've tried every conceivable permutation and can't get the image to appear smaller. What happens if you change to night mode?

I'm really at a loss here, I can't find any variables that could possibly impact the image size. To exclude the client PC as the culprit, do you have another PC to test the mydlink feed?

May not be a permanent fix, however, for chrome you can edit HTML on the fly and it would render just like that, think you access it by pressing F12, is there no way you can change the HTML coding and change the size variable within the code. I don't use mydlink as my cameras are running on LAN connection only.

However, could you not do this instead - http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=50319.msg185900#msg185900 - and save it as a HTML page on the client PC? So all you'd have to do is open up the HTML file?

Yes.  And if you are only viewing the stream locally, you can enter the following string in your browser:  [CAMERA_IP_ADDRESS]/mjpeg.cgi

I know, but I want to allow other people access to the cam trough mydlink.com

I think this is a bug or some config issue that must be fixed.

Have any other DCS-932L owners reading this thread experienced a similar issue using mydlink?
