Title: DIR-842 drops connection after firmware update
Post by: Troysl on August 13, 2021, 12:17:18 PM
Hello!

In our apartment there is a DIR-842 wifi modem. Everything was fine until I upgraded its firmware to version 3.14EU. Now, on my iPhone 8, it drops connection. I'm using it, then I put down the iPhone to the table and after about 40 seconds when I touch the home button, I can see that the wifi connection drops for about 3 second and then connects again.

I'm connected to 2.4 GHz Wifi because the 5 GHz isn't strong enough to reach my room in the apartment.

I tried to download the factory version of firmware but it's not available - it should be 3.10EU but I can only download 3.12EU for C3 hardware. Anyway, I'm getting an error after uploading the file via website.

Any ideas how to fix this? It's really, really annoying. Thank you

Funny thing. I tried to restart my iPhone and the problem is gone
