More defined/precise "Motion Detection" area
« on: April 13, 2015, 09:04:00 AM »

Is there a way to add this to a suggestion list? I know others have to have this problem where the camera may be pointing at the yard and if you could cut that tree out of the area with a little more precision you would get less false alarms when its window (tree is moving, setting off motion).

Does anyone know if this will be in any future updates?

Here is the Firmware Wishlist: DCS-932L - Firmware Wishlist
I already added the item some time ago:
"Motion Detection - More detailed grid (i.e. smaller boxes) to improve motion detection area selection"

Other dlink models have this ability. Usually it only works in IE to set off an area for motion detection. 2132l,2230. Look in the user manuals.
2230 would be best looking out into a yard. The 1 megapixel cams don't have enough detail
