Just got the notification for this while logging in via the MyDLink app.  Very curious what changes have been implemented, or if it's just "security" updates at this point.  I'll keep an eye out for the change log.  Both my DCS-932Ls have been updated to 1.10.03 (2015-02-03) and appear to be working fine.
The main thing I'd hope for is more sensible day\night mode logic, or even a day\night sensitivity slider, but I haven't noticed any changes to any of the settings pages.

If I had to guess, I'd say the updates are similar to the 931L, 933L, 5010L, and 5020L which all had FW updates published within the past couple of days with identical change logs.

I would say its to make it work with mydlink and java8 again.

Correct: "The issue of Java 8 latest update blocking live view on the mydlink web portal has been resolved in the latest firmware update for the following cameras:"

The main thing I'd hope for is more sensible day\night mode logic, or even a day\night sensitivity slider, but I haven't noticed any changes to any of the settings pages.

This will never happen, as the day/night mode sensitivity isn't manageable by software. The software can only turn the day/night function on or off. The only way to change day/night sensitivity is to change value of some resistors on the day/night mode PCB.

If you are looking for software manageable sensitivity of day\night mode, you have to buy a more expensive camera.

Hi There;

Just installed a DCS-932LA1 and installed the latest FW, the motion detection never worked - I only receive a email every 5min (the default 300s), no matter what I do (even go crazy) in front of the cam, no email alert. I have another 930L, which working for more than a year now, flawless.

I did some googling, so far found nothing helpful. Hope this group can help me.

Thanks in advance!

the following is the FW info.
Camera Name   DCS-932L
Time & Date   26 Mar 2015 7:45:09 A.M.
Firmware Version   1.10.03 (2015-02-03)
Agent Version   2.0.18-b61

Hi All,

just installed the update on all 3 of my DCS-932L cam's. What a mess! They don't work anymore :(. Since I don't know what the previous firmware was (the one that comes right out of the box) I also don't know what to recover. The problem that keeps on happening is that when I want to look at my camera they reboot! This happens when I connect via the app or the website... can someone please help?

Is it true that if you install the update via WiFi the camera's go kaput? Is there a way that they can be restored? Because reinstalling with a cable did not help :(

Under the right circumstances, if your network connection is disrupted during the firmware upload it's possible for the camera to go corrupt. The same can be said if the camera were to lose power at the exact moment the upgrade was taking place. Wireless upgrades will work, but it's introducing a new potential point of failure (i.e. increasing risk).

Can you access the camera locally by entering the camera IP address in a browser on a PC on the same LAN as the DCS-932L?
