Question About Hibernation and Fan?
« on: December 16, 2009, 01:27:29 AM »

Hi:

I turn my PC off at the end of the day and I don't have any any tasks running on the DNS 323 but I am wondering if hibernation and the fan on the DNS 323 is affected by....

1.   Always on external dsl modem?

2.   NTP Time server option activity?

I have the fan set to auto and I especially noticed that the fan continues to come on periodically even if my PC is off?

Thanks

If the fan is set to auto, it will come on as required based on the internal temperatures of the DNS-323 - hibernation should not be affected by either the NTP or the always on DSL modem.

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.
