A Quick Question
« on: December 13, 2009, 05:10:23 AM »

Hi:

I am pretty new to the DNS-323.  Just a quick Q:

1.  How do I reformat my hard drive in EXT2.  Do you use Easy Search?  Can't seem to find where the format command is.

2.  How do I change the default browser for Easy Search from IE to Firefox?

I am using 1.08 beta fw and the single caviar green 2TB drive I have set up is in "standard mode"

Your help appreciated!

Thanks

1- you can reformat your drive/s from web gui menu: tools->RAID->Set RAID type and re-format

The Format options are under RAID if you choose both drives, yes it will format both however you can choose a single drive as well.

OK, I was unclear. I have a problem on one disk (see my post "error on one drive"). As nobody has answered to my problem, I think I can try to reformat the faulty drive. But can I do this, as my DNS-323 configuration is standard (neither JBOD nor RAID) ? If yes, how ?
Thanks.
