Title: D-Link 2640B Wireless Settings
Post by: Cableuser on September 22, 2009, 09:00:06 AM
Hello there,

I have D link 2640B model router that I had been using with my previous ADSL account. I have moved to a new place and now i have "Cable Modem" internet that gives me only one ethernet output and I thought my D link router can help me to build a wireless by attaching the modem directly to the Router. However it didnt work.

(My previous wireless settings are the same, I have also removed all the previously existing DSL accounts on the router) but still, although I can connect to the wireless Network (with my previous SSID), I cannot connect to the internet. (but I can connect to the internet directly when I use the Cable modem only).

Therefore I would like to know if anyone on here could help with this problem: on connecting my Dlink ADSL router to Cable modem (just to create wireless LAN).

Thank you.
