DWA 160 B2 "not connected" in XP
« on: May 29, 2016, 08:43:46 PM »

My computer detects the DWA when I plug it in but it won't connect to the internet.

I've installed the latest driver and run the connection wizard many times, however if I open Network Connections in Windows it shows the adapter as 'not connected' no matter what I try.

In device manger the adapter is enabled and I've tried disabling my firewall. I had been using this adapter for two years until it began disconnecting occasionally in the last week or two, now I'm wondering if it's defective.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DWA?
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
Try connecting using Windows Wireless wizard?
Try installing the adapter on a different PC to see if it works there...try connecting the adapter to a different router or wireless signal.
