Title: DIR-655 with repeater
Post by: jw50 on September 21, 2011, 08:21:07 AM
Hello,

I'm looking for a D-Link repeater. I have a DIR-655 and want to boost my wireless range for the other parts of the house. I want the repeater to be wireless too, so that I don't have a cable hanging between the DIR-655 and the repeater. Which D-Link repeater would you suggest?

Something like this, but with D-Link products:

Thank you for you answer.

Unfortunately, the DAP-1525 is not for sale in The Netherlands. Well, I couldn't find it.

Do you know another D-Link repeater?

How about the DAP-1522? Theres some 1300 series ones however not sure if they are still in production or not. What is listed on the UK Dlink web site for repeaters? Anything?

Thank you again for your quick reply.

The DAP-1522 is for sale in The Netherlands, but it is (as you said) and old model. Will The DAP-1522 work as a wireless repeater? I don't want cables from my DIR-655 to the repeater.

Bridge Mode vs Relay vs Acess Point (AP) / Routers vs Dedicated Acess Points (AP) (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=50738.0)

DAP-1522 only works like AP or Bridge. I think DAP-1353 (three antennas ) is better option or cheaper DAP-1360 (two antennas )
