Hi -I'm probably not using my full brain this morning but...I had to get a new modem and I can't think how to get the cameras back online. Do I need to add them as new again or just simply press the WPS button on the modem and camera? (If it's the latter then I don't think it's working).

Is the modem also a router? Wireless?

If it is wireless, make sure the SSID and wi-fi password is exactly the same as your old router. You shouldn't have to do anything new.

Yes -- a router and wireless.
Ohh ok.  I did change SSID and password.
So, with that, I guess I need to add as new?

You will have to go into the settings for each camera and put in the new SSID and password.

WPS should work. I would do 1 at a time. Don't try multiple cameras at once.

Did you statically assign IP address or are the cameras set to DHCP?

WPS doesn't seem to be cooperating and I can't get into settings as all the cameras are offline.
The IP address is set to DHCP.

Also, I tried to add as new with WPS and that's not even working. Going to try using the ethernet and see if that helps.

If you want to use the new SSID and password, as a temp fix, change the SSID and password back to the old one on the router, then you will have access to the cameras and manually change the SSID and password to the new one. Then change it back on the router. Ethernet will def be better if your cameras support it.

What model modem and what model cameras are you using?

I have 2 934L's and 1 936L(which obviously doesn't have the ethernet option).

I saw your response before trying the ethernet and tried to change SSID back, it didn't work.
Ethernet worked for the 934L's.

I presume you may need to factory reset the 936L and set up from scratch...

And having to reset is daunting, I remember having quite a time setting up the 936L the first time.

There is something fundamentally wrong that the setup is always an issue, however...I tried several times after our last posts then set aside until about an hour ago. The only thing I did differently was the time I held the reset button and the time I left the camera unplugged. It worked after the 2nd try this evening.
All cameras back online...

I had told @FurryNutz that my next project would be setting up the cameras for port forwarding, I'm so glad I didn't do that yet! But it is definitely in the pipeline and I'm sure it will be a challenge (at least for me).

Ya the Setup I found was problematic. One trick I found was to temporarily set the Wifi security to OPEN then run thru the set up and let the camera connect to the wifi using OPEN security. Once it's connected, Go in to the camera UI and manually change the security mode there to what ever your going to use on the host router. Save and apply the setting. While the camera reboots, go in a change the wifi security mode back to what you had it on. Save the setting. I found that the camera will connect with the new security mode once it reboots.
